Always amazing pizza. Dave cares about his craft! Flavors are balanced, toppings are classic with a subtle delightful twist sometimes, and the crust is always on point. Get a square and a slice, they're very different experiences and you owe it to yourself to try both. For the garlic lovers, the broccoli rabe square is not to be missed. The eggplant slice is a whole meal onto itself!

Really amazing pizza in Sunnyside! The staff is super nice and friendly and the restaurant has enough space for a few tables and chairs to dine in. Also it’s a really cute vibe and feels very cozy vs the traditional pizza spots in NYC. The pizza was incredible and crispiness made to perfection. Highly recommend this place! Spent a total of 12 on 3 slices— decently priced.

Excellent service, friendly staff and the owner Dave is friendly and welcoming, treating you like family. The pizza is amazing; the crust has a nice char to it, the pizza had no flop in it and the Parmesan cheese added to the pie really add something amazing. The fact that David ferments the dough for 72 hours really enhances the texture and taste of the pizza. The place was small, but the ambiance of the place was charming and loved the kindness of Dave and his staff. I found this via Dave Portnoy who gave a review that I felt was lower than what it truly has. Get this pizza fresh and the flavors pop in your mouth. My wife and kids LOVED this pizza and I feel this is the best pizza in Queens. If you ever come to NY and to Queens in particular, please make this part of your trip. You will love it, I guarantee it.

Service is amazing and so is the food! My girlfriend and I got one slice of cheese and one of Jersey Shore. Both were incredible. Make sure you add some red pepper flakes and oregano for added flavor!!

It’s REALLY GOOD. I’m having the Bianca with Arugula and the NY Margherita personal pies. The flavor is on point. The crust is perfection. One of my fave pizza spots in NYC for sure.

By far the absolute best pizza in Queens and lived up to all the social media hype. Dave, Kenny and staff is no doubt the most amazing group of people you will ever meet in the hospitality industry. Their pizza is worth the trip, no matter where you’re coming from. Every single thing on the menu is to die for and my only regret is, appetite wasn’t big enough to consume everything. Everyone is treated like family and though it was my first time there, Dave greeted me and we talked as if we’ve known each other for quite some time. This is an absolute gem, and you will be doing a disservice by not visiting Philomena. Keep up the great work you guys deserve it all.

Dave has curated a perfect pizza menu the dough is so light and fluffy and airy from the normal cheese to the balboni slice to even the pepperoni square you will not be disappointed in a single bite you have and they have Italian sodas to wash all the delicious pizza down ,this is a easily a top 3 pizza place in new york for me now trying for the first time I can't wait to come back and enjoy some more pizza along with a Mets game thank you again dave for the amazing hospitality-Sho00sh-

UPDATED REVIEW 4/10/2025 The review below was Super Bowl Sunday 2025. The owner Dave was very nice to offer me a free pizza and to give his shop another chance. I’m on a bit of a review kick so it was unlikely I would have returned any time soon. The ninja turtle was really good, I loved how chewy the crust was and the pizza was quite cheesy how I liked. All the toppings were quite hearty and it was filling. I would have liked it a little less floppy but I know that would have been quite hard with all the toppings on it. Flavor was quite good so yes I would definitely eat it again. Most of all I appreciate an owner willing to take criticism and eager to correct it and not brush it off. He clearly cares about his product and customers. Please give the pizza a try when you’re in the neighborhood! So I ordered takeout online and the regular pie was not an option so I got square. They told me 5 more min, I stepped out and came back and it was another 5 more min. Fairly slow and pizza was not good but I don’t really like square. I just wanted to prepay and get out. I would go back to try a regular slice but my first experience annoyed me so I won’t be back soon.
